Bob Wallace a été un brillant Piper des Muirheads Pipe band, titré plusieurs fois champion de monde et dont le Pipe Major fut Bob Hardie lui-même.
Il a suivi une formation de journaliste puis a été directeur du College of Piping de Glasgow, pour lequel il a également rédigé et actualisé des méthodes d'apprentissage de la Cornemuse écossaise. Sa formation première l'a poussé a monté le site Pipingpress qu'il dirige, et pour lequel il a conçu cette méthode. Ce livret indique des liens vers le site qui permettent des aides à la formation par des vidéos très utiles.
